What is Naturally Centered Horsemanship!?!  It is a mix of classic Dressage, classic Western, Natural Horsemanship Techniques and Centered Riding* that all combined teach horse and rider to be balanced and in harmony with each other.  It uses  the biomechanics of  the horse and  the rider combined with Equine Psychology to get  the best results.  It is ancient, it is new age, it is what works!  Clear communication with clear intent!  That is what a horse understands.

Equine Psychology

A horse is a horse.  The more you can understand how a horse thinks and reacts the better you can communicate with them.  We at the Bar W believe  that by studying equine physiology and behavior we can achieve a more clear understanding of how to effectivly communicate therefore making training and riding successfull and more enjoyable.  

With Respect Comes Love

We all want our horses to "love us" but what needs to come first is respect!!  A herd follows the Alpha Mare not out of love but out of respect, she will lead them to food, water and alert them to danger so they may survive.  It is a horses deepest instinct to survive!!  Thus the flight and fight instinct.  If you can learn to be the Alpha Horse in your herd you will have their respect as a leader, a trainer and a partner.  With that respect will come the relationship we as humans want with these amazing creatures, a loving bond.
